Thank you for waiting for a long time. On July 1, 2024, Roppongi Zorokuyuzan will renew its restaurant, and with a fresh mindset and determination, I will devote myself once again to the cuisine and sushi that I have learned and practiced.
I started running the restaurant as an independent business owner, then incorporated it, and have had busy yet enjoyable years, but after 10 years, I wanted to focus more on sushi, but of course, there were many other things I had to do too. I was looking for a partner who could manage the business so that I could focus on sushi. It was at that time I met the president Bozono from BLD.
I was attracted by the president's young age and incredible energy and hoped to work with him as a business partner. Although I was fed up with the sushi industry because it is so easy to establish a sushi business, but the encounter with this young president ignited my passion again, and I remembered my feelings of the past which drove me to reach higher.
We had the option of relocating to start a new restaurant, but to not to forget our initial feelings, we chose to renovate and renew the restaurant without changing the location, even though it would take more time and effort.
The concept is to reduce the number of seats down to ten, but to focus to have a good time with our guests. Our motto is high quality and high performance.
Reservations are only for two service hours.
Yuichi Kotaka puts all of his energy into making sushi and side dishes. It is the culmination of his way of life. Please look forward to the second phase of Zorokuyuzan. We look forward to seeing you here.
Yuichi started working at a sushi restaurant in Saitama at the age of 16, and moved to Tokyo at 20, worked at a sushi restaurant in Akasaka for 4 years. Then he met Sanshichi Okajima, the head chef of Zouroku Sushi and worked at his Roppongi Zouroku Sushi. At the age of 32, Yuichi opened his own sushi restaurant in Roppongi as Roppongi Zouroku Sushi's relocation. Yuichi received the name "Zorokuyuzan" as Sanshichi's last apprentice.
